This vintage Chinese wardrobe was made in ShanXi Province and dates from circa 1910. It has been restored with some new materials, such as a newly made hanging rail and two removable inner shelves. Its two doors are mounted on wooden hinges and can be locked with a new 'togetherness' brass close. Below the doors sit four drawers with 'hanging leaf' brass handles and the bottom is accentuated with a carved panel. The wood grain shows through the peacock blue satin finish, giving this piece a beautifully textured appearance that can ground a contemporary interior.
