Andrew Logan at ROUGE

Andrew Logan The House that Mao Built

From Friday 3rd June until Sunday 26th June, ROUGE will host an installation of artwork by Andrew Logan, acclaimed British artist and creator of the Alternative Miss World Contest. In the early 90s, Andrew visited China with his close friend, fashion designer Zandra Rhodes. Inspired by this journey, Andrew has created a body of work that engages with the architecture, landscape and culture, and makes reference to the country's recent history, across a range of media, including sculpture, jewellery and paintings. The installation, which is jointly curated by Andrew Logan's studio and ROUGE, aims to convey an impression of China through Andrew Logan's eyes. The installation can be viewed during ROUGE’s opening hours. A special free drinks reception with Andrew Logan will take place on Sunday 5th June, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. No registration needed, all welcome!

The installation and drinks reception are part of a series of Andrew Logan events during the Stoke Newington Literary Festival. More information is available at http://www.stokenewingtonliteraryfestival.com/
